The food processoris akitchen applianceused to perform certain repetitive tasks in the preparation offood. The term usually refers to an electric-motor-driven appliance, though some manual devices may also be referred to as "food processors".
Food processors are typically used to chop nuts, fruits, and vegetables. The food processor is similar to a blender. The principle difference is that food processors use interchangeable blades and disks (attachments) rather than a fixed blade. Another difference between the food processor and blender: little or no liquid is required in the operation of a food processor, while the blender ordinarily requires that solid and semi-solid food be suspended in liquid.
